My Story

Why I Started Good Goods

Some businesses start with a business plan. Good Goods started with a feeling — the feeling I got the very first time I worked in a tiny jewellery store during uni. I didn’t know anything about “building a brand” back then. I just knew I loved watching someone’s face light up when they tried on a piece that made them feel beautiful. Sparkle does that. A pop of colour does that. Jewellery has this strange, wonderful power to change how you carry yourself in an instant.

But life doesn’t always follow the obvious path. I found myself in banking — a world of spreadsheets, corporate meetings and very little sparkle. And yet… the jewellery obsession never left. So I did what any completely normal person would do: I started buying diamonds from eBay Germany and flipping them on the Trading Post.
Chaotic? Yes.
On brand for me? Also yes.
But that little side hustle reminded me how much I loved creating something that made people feel something.

Fast-forward to now, and Good Goods feels like the culmination of every twist, every detour, every glitter-covered breadcrumb that led me back to my first love.

But the name? That came from someone much smaller — and much more decisive — than any business plan.

When my daughter was little, she used to wander around the house in my high heels. Every time, I’d gently tell her, “Sweetheart, don’t wear those, they’re my good ones.”
She’d grin that cheeky toddler grin, keep walking, and say, “Good good!”

It stuck.
And then… it meant something.

Because somewhere along the way, many of us start keeping things “for good.”
The special dress.
The nice glasses.
The jewellery that only comes out for birthdays or dinners where linen napkins are involved.

Good Goods is my rebellion against that.
This brand exists so we can stop saving things for “good” and start wearing the joy now.

Pastel enamel that lifts your mood.
Gemstones that glow because you’re glowing.
Pieces that feel fun, confident, colourful — and a little bit nostalgic.

Nothing in these collections is meant to sit in a drawer. Nothing is too precious for school drop-off, the office, or a Tuesday. And absolutely nothing needs an occasion to be worn.

Good Goods is for the everyday moment — the small ones, the ordinary ones, the ones that make up most of our lives. Because those moments deserve a little sparkle too.

So yes… this brand has been brewing for years: through a uni job, a banking career, a German diamond side hustle, and a toddler who renamed my heels and unknowingly named my business.

It’s been a journey of joy, colour, resilience, reinvention and a whole lot of “why not?”

And now?
Good Goods is here — pastel-soaked, joy-filled, and ready to make the world a little brighter, one piece at a time.

Wear the joy. Always.
